NBC’s show America’s Got Talent is mixing things up for its eighth season. According to TMZ, the show is adding supermodel Heidi Klum as a fourth judge.

TMZ says sources from NBC told them the news, though there hasn’t been an official announcement yet. They go on to show this picture of the America’s Got Talent set with the name “Heidi” clearly seen underneath one of the judge spots.

How did Heidi stumble upon this new job? It’s still unclear but the New York Daily News says it happened “in a last minute negotiation, and [Heidi] is on her way to New Orleans, where the show is set to begin auditions for its new season Monday.”

If the reports are true, the 39-year-old model will join judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

Us Weekly notes Brown is a replacement judge for Sharon Osbourne, going on to say Osbourne left the show in August 2012 “amidst an ugly public fight with NBC … [she] claimed the network had fired her son Jack from a reality series … after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.”

So does Klum have what it takes to judge America’s aspiring stars? The Hollywood Reporter highlights some of Klum’s previous accomplishments. [Via: NBC]

“The former model earned an Emmy nomination in 2008 for her role on Lifetime’s Project Runway, which she … executive produces. In addition, Klum has served as host of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show a number of times. She’s also hosted the German incarnation of Project Runway since 2006.”

While only some of those experiences might relate to judging a talent contest, one could argue if the talent is there, anyone can see it.. right? Heidi’s rep has not released an official comment on the rumored “America’s Got Talent” job yet.
