Primary school picture of model Kate Upton emerges on the web

KATE Upton shows she has been camera-ready from a young age in this old school pic.

The schoolgirl gives a cheesy grin for the photographer and avoids any yearbook photo pitfalls like pulling a funny face or blinking.

Unlike most in their school pictures, the model, now 20, managed keep her hair looking tidy and didn't spill any food down her uniform.

Now the global star doesn't crack quite such a wide grin in pics, preferring a sly smile.

Above the shot, Kate's full name "Katherine Upton" is written in a yellow childlike font.

It is unclear what age the magazine cover girl was in the snap but it is thought to have been taken when she was in grade school — the American name for primary school.

Although always photogenic, before her modelling career Kate was one of the top 20 horse riders in the States.
