CHRISTIAN BALE may be dusting off his bat cape despite announcing The Dark Knight would be his final Batman film.

The actor, 39, looks set to return in 2015 as the millionaire superhero once again — but this time in a film based on the comic Justice League.

The original DC Comic featured a superhero team battling against evil which included Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Green Lantern.

Justice League was turned into cartoon Super Friends which aired in the 70s and 80s.

Batman Trilogy director Christopher Nolan will oversee the production of the film according US blog Latino Review.

Bale reportedly will star next to Henry Cavill's Superman who is set to star this summer in Man of Steel.

The blog also states film company Warner Bros were keen to compete with the success super hero ensemble series like The Avengers.

The studio have not commented on the reports from Latino Review.
