"Octomom" files for bankruptcy in California

Reuters  –  20 mins ago LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The California mother of octuplets , dubbed "Octomom," filed for bankruptcy on Monday, after previously admitting she was on public assistance to support herself and her 14 children. Nadya Suleman , 36, gave birth to eight babies as a single mother in 2009. But goodwill turned to anger in the media after it was revealed Suleman had undergone fertility treatments when she already had six children, and questions were raised about her ability to provide for her family. Her children became only the second set of octuplets known to have survived birth in the United States. Suleman, who lives in the Southern California suburban community of La Habra, has less than $ 50,000 in assets and owes between $ 500,000 and $ 1 million, according to legal papers submitted to U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and posted at entertainment website E! The cheeky One Direction star stepped out with a pretty blonde, reportedly his old school friend Ellis Calcutt. However, despite earning himself a reputation as somewhat of a ladies man, she insists they are just good friends. Just friend: Harry Styles steps out with old school friend Ellis Calcutt It seems Harry might still be harbouring a soft spot then for Emma Ostilly, an aspiring model he was spied kissing while on tour in New Zealand last week. Harry and Ellis' body language spoke volumes, although celebrities are often encouraged to keep their distance from love interests so as to avoid media speculation. The concert venue was entirely packed with women for the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block gig. The bands were performing the last leg of their joint British tour to thousands of screaming ladies, who didn't seem to care that their childhood idols had lost a few hairs since they last saw them onstage. All of the favourites were included in the show; Backstreet's Back, I Want It That Way and As Long As You Love Me all made an appearance. Meanwhile NKOTB had the whole crowd singing every word to songs like Hangin' Tough and Please Don't Go Girl. More the merrier ... NKOTB & Backstreet Boys on stage together earlier in UK tour When the blokes first announced their decision to double up on a tour, it was questionable that they'd be able to sell out arenas like the 02, but judging by the bums in seats yesterday, they could probably have added another date to London gigs.
