Sofia Vergara's dangerous curves outshine super skinny Elle Macpherson

Gone are the days when skinny was in, now it's all about showing off your curves.

Flying the flag for full-figured women, Sofia Vergara stepped out in a fitting little black dress as she walked the red carpet to celebrate the White House Correspondents Weekend.

A few steps behind was supermodel Elle Macpherson who was also wearing a black dress but failed to make the impression she had probably hoped for after Vergara's curvaceous display.

Sofia's ample figure looked ravishing in a short-sleeved black printed body con dress which showed off her enivable toned legs.

Her long, silky, straight brunette hair was parted evenly down the centre and she kept her makeup to a minimum and wore a coating of mascara and pink lipstick.

The 39-year-old Colombian actress, who stars in hit series Modern Family, complimented her dress with a pair black peep toe heels and black and sliver jewellery.

The Australian supermodel, who is ten years older than Sofia, wore a black cropped tuxedo style blazer on top of her plain black dress and pair of perspex and black pointed heels.

She wore her loosely curled blonde tresses down and teamed up the outfit with a chunky gold wristwatch, a linked bracelet and a gold ring which we wore on her index finger.

Macpherson, 49, matched her jewellery perfectly with a tiny black and gold clutch bag.

Also in attendance was Sports Illustrated model, Kate Upton who decided to forgo her usual sexy attire and looked almost unrecognisable in a demure outfit.

The 19-year-old was stunning in an elegant turquoise frock which featured a flirty pleated skirt.

She accessorised with a pair of simple black ballet pumps, a miniature gold clutch bag, and swept her blonde locks into a messy updo.
