We all try and eke out our birthdays out into at least a week of celebrating.

And Jessica Alba is no different, enjoying various different activities to welcome in her 31st.

The Sin City star confessed to being 'spoilt rotten' by friend Kelly Sawyer, stepping out in a stunning sheer skirt as they dined out for lunch, had their nails done and even visited the ear piercing studio.

Jessica looked effortlessly pretty, with her ungroomed hair casually hanging over both shoulders and the sea green chiffon material complemented with a sleeveless pale pink blouse to keep cool.

The mother-of-two also opted for comfort over style as she walked along in green flip-flops, instead holding another pair of shoes which she perhaps slipped into while eating at the restaurant.

The two friends had visited what appeared to be a Greek eaterie, with Jessica tweeting a picture of themselves surrounded by pitta bread and houmus spread, with the caption: 'Lunch w mimosas!'

A mimosa is a birthday girl's dream drink - with one part champagne and the other chilled citrus juice.

Jessica was over the moon with yesterday's events, tweeting: 'Thank u @KellySawyer 4 spoiling me rotten on my Bday! Love you! Xoxo'

The Californian belle also proved that venturing into her thirties won't be interfering with her wild child antics, as she went under the needle to re-pierce a hole in her ear that had closed up over time.

She tweeted: 'Getting my second pierce repierced!'

But it wasn't only Kelly that got to treat Jessica, with husband Cash Warren helping to celebrate too.

He sent a message to his wife simply saying 'Happy Birthday my love', with a snapshot of Alba blowing out the sole candle on her cake.
