She is considered one of pop music's most attractive women - but Cheryl Cole has bemoaned her lack of action between the sheets of late.

The Girls Aloud star says she misses being intimate with someone and admitted: 'I am a woman and I like sex.'

She also said she is feeling very broody and longs to find the right man to settle down and raise a family with.

Speaking to GQ magazine, she said: 'I'd love kids. I'm obsessed with babies. I know that is what I was put on Earth to do – to be a mother.'

And she said she has a soft spot for Prince Harry who she thinks is amazing, and added: Me and his dad are as thick as thieves and I knew Harry before I knew his dad so we've met a few times.

'I think he's amazing and I think you can relate to him because he's made mistakes.'

But she said she would be worried about being dubbed a 'cougar' if she dated him - even though at 28, she is only a year older than the young Royal.

She said: 'He's cool. Although, I think I would be Cougarville in that relationship. I would be in Cougarville.'

Cheryl is set to release her new single Screw You next month, and, contrary to reports, has insisted it's not about her ex-husband, Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole.

She also said it is not about her former X Factor boss Simon Cowell, who unceremoniously dumped her from the US version of the show last spring.

She said the song is not 'autobiographical' and added: 'It could be directed at whoever you want it to be directed at.'

Cheryl also always has a friend on musician and The Voice coach Will.i.am, who today came out in support of her and said he was glad that she had turned her back on the X Factor.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Will, who collaborated with Cheryl on her hits Heartbreaker and 3 Words, said being a judge was a 'waste of talent'.

He added: 'Cheryl is a great artist and a great performer and I think the world needs that. Music is what got us here.

'If you're not singing any more or writing songs then you've abandoned your base. Cheryl Cole to me is not Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton.'
