What happened to relaxing! TOWIE's Lauren Pope protects her new implants as she parties at the Hair Awards just a WEEK after surgery

The night before, she tweeted that she would be relaxing this week after it was revealed she had undergone surgery to have her controversial PIP implants removed.

But just a week after going under the knife, Lauren Pope was out partying at the Hair Awards last night.

The Only Way Is Essex star appeared to be covering her new cleavage with a protective hand as she arrived at the Sky Bar in London.

The 28-year-old looked gorgeous in a metallic wrap skirt with a black vest and black leather jacket.

Her blonde hair was straight and fell loosely around her face.

On Sunday night's episode of the ITV2 show, Lauren was seen recovering from her operation in hospital.

The glamour model appeared tired and out of sorts as best friends Lauren Goodger and Chloe Sims dropped by to check on how she was doing

The blonde had tweeted throughout the week that she was in pain and being cheered up by friends, but didn't go into detail about why until after the episode aired.

She said on Sinday night: 'Thx 4 all msgs, I have had my PIP's removed n am so happy with the results. Big thx to @MYA_Tweet n Dr Russo, relax time 4 me now this wk!'

Earlier in the week she said: 'So happy to be back in comfort of my own home n have my bestie Tommy to look after me with a bacon buttie yum!! Hope ur all good? Xx'

She added: 'Up n awake at this hour n not even tired...must be all the excitement or...PAIN!! Lol'

And later said: 'Cnt wait to be able to get out n about next week :)'

Lauren also tweeted a picture of a Jo Malone box, thanking the TOWIE crew for her 'get well soon pressie'.

In January, Lauren admitted that she was terrified after discovering that she had been given PIP implants.

About 40,000 British women received the type of implant, manufactured by French company Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP), which has now closed.

They were filled with non-medical grade silicone intended for use in mattresses.

Although she was initially afraid of having the operation Lauren took the opportunity to slightly increase her bust size.

She explained earlier this month: 'They do tell you you might have to have another boob job after 15 or 20 years just for safety reasons, but I always said that I would never have it done again, I'd rather let them rot inside me, I do not want to go through that again.

'So I thought, "Oh my god, I'm going to have to have it done again", but then my next thought was, and this probably sounds really bad, that I could actually get a new pair of bigger boobs.'

Also at the Hair Awards last night was the Real Hustle star Jessica-Jane Clement, who covered up a bit more in a pair of black tights, a vest and white blazer.

Made In Chelsea star Gabriella Ellis was also there, wearing a leopard-print dress and a black cardigan.
