Jessica Simpson proudly pats her HUGE baby bump as she prepares for motherhood

She is preparing to give birth to her first child any day now but Jessica Simpson looks far from nervous.

The 31-year-old singer looked extremely happy yesterday as she waddled out and about in Los Angeles sporting her very large baby bump.

Despite carrying the extra weight, Simpson didn't look fed up or anxious as she was accompanied by her fiancé Eric Johnson.

She continued her love of wearing maxi dresses that cling to her stomach - this time opting for an extra-long tribal print number.

The blonde star also steered clear of wearing towering heels - which she has been spotted wearing recently - and instead walked in a pair of gladiators which matched her bright yellow handbag.

Over the top she wore a long grey cardigan, and she completed her look with a pair of large dark sunglasses.

Johnson also opted for comfort wearing grey jogging bottoms, a matching hoody and trainers.

The pair are excited about welcoming their first child into the world, and are no doubt wondering when that exact day will be.

However, Simpson may feel less chirpy when she catches a glimpse of her former self when new reality show Fashion Star hits screens nest month.

The With You singer acts as a mentor on the NBC show alongside Nicole Richie and designer John Varvatos and certainly looks glamorous.

In an upcoming episode of the show, she is seen wearing a bright red dress, lots of jewellery and has clearly spent time in the hair and make-up chair.

The show is hosted by Elle Macpherson and gives contestants the chance to create their own fashion designs and then have top stores like H&M, Macys and Saks Fifth Avenue bid to buy their clothing lines and put them in the stores the next day.
