Oscars 2012: Sacha Baron Cohen's Dictator hits back
Sacha Baron Cohen's latest creation - Admiral General Aladeen – has released a video statement condemning "The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Zionists" for refusing to allow him to attend Sunday's ceremony.
And the star, speaking as the head of the Republic of Wadiya, claims it was an "act of aggression that no Wadiyan films have been recognised by the Academy."
And he adds: "Where are the nominations for classic film such as When Harry Kidnapped Sally, You've Got Mail-bomb and Plant of the Rapes."
The video statement was released by the British comedian in response to organisers barring him from attending Sunday night's ceremony in character.

The Academy has strict rules against anyone using the red carpet as a promotional stunt, meaning an appearance as Aladeen – loosely based on Saddam Hussein – is out of the question.
And the video promises"unimaginable consequences" if the Oscar chiefs don't give way – and they should sit up and listen.
Security guards at Sunday night's star-studded ceremony may have their work cut out.
