Safe House (15)
Rating:This isn't so much a movie as a list of cliches.
Ryan Reynolds plays a lowly CIA operative keeping a safe house in Cape Town, whose life becomes more interesting with the arrival of a renegade CIA spy (Denzel Washington).
After the first of many bloodbaths, the duo go on the run. Reynolds tries to keep his superiors informed, until he realises one may be the bad guy.
Trash: Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds star in the list of cliches that is Safe House
First-time writer David Guggenheim is clearly a fan of the Bourne movies, as is director Daniel Espinosa.
Unfortunately, it's only the worst aspects that are copied, especially camera work that's too close and an ear-splitting soundtrack.
It's sad to see an actor like Washington waste his talent on this trash.
