Blooming awful! Florence Welch lacks flower power as she picks ghastly petal print ensemble for red carpet at NME Awards
Last updated at 12:09 AM on 1st March 2012
She's always gone against the grain when it comes to fashion, especially on the red carpet as she leaves many in her eclectic wake.
And last night was no exception for Florence Welch as she arrived at the NME Awards in a very unusual black and white suit that was gold-flecked and decorated with flowers.
The 25-year-old singer - who took home two top awards - stopped to pose for the cameras as she arrived at the bash which took place at London's Brixton Academy tonight.
Florence does floral: Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine arrived at the NME Awards in a black and white suit decorated with flowers
Florence, who is the lead singer of Florence and the Machine, scored the Best Solo Artist gong, along with Best Track for Shake It Out. She had also been nominated for Hottest Female.
But maybe she should have been up for most dizzying and unusual outfit as she posed in the music venue in the suit which sat high up her legs and which was rolled back on her arms.
That's better! Florence later changed into a gorgeous floor-length gown with black sleeves as she performed and posed with her two awards, for Best Solo Artist and Best Track
Super slim: Alexa Chung wore a pretty blue lace dress with chunky black heels as she arrived at the bash
She later changed into a gorgeous floor-length black gown with lace sleeves as she performed, joining forces with The Horrors on their song Still Life.
Florence was joined at the annual event by other stars associated with the music industry, including presenter Alexa Chung, who cut a very thin frame as she stopped on the red carpet.
From chic to casual: While Katy B made an effort in a simple white dress, Phillipa Brown, aka Ladyhawke, dressed down in denim
Colourful and girlie: DJ Annie Mac looked very bright in her funky top and denim skirt while Marina from Marina and the Diamonds went for the rock princess look
And her wedged black shoes made her fragile pins look even more fragile as she posed for the cameras in a blue lace.
Other music ladies attending included Katy B, who looked lovely in her simple and chic white dress and Ladyhawke, real name Phillipa Brown, dressed down and looked too casual in jeans, a faded denim jacket and black hat.

Rock chicks: Tali Lennox and Zawe Ashton both looked gorgeous in their little black dresses
And Annie Lennox's daughter Tali looked every inch the sexy rock chick in her short black lace dress while rising new actress Zawe Ashton looked pretty in her simple black dress.
But it was also a night for the boys with many taking home the honours or just showing up to party with their comtemporaries.
Noel Gallagher led the rock dudes charge as he arrived with wife Sara and who was tipped to be taking home the Godlike Genius gong.
Veteran: Noel Gallagher was there with his wife Sara
All grown up: The Enemy looked older and different to how they did when they first burst onto the scene a few years ago
Rock boys: Carl Barat and Johnny Marr were also guests the the music bash
Former Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat and former The Smiths frontma Johnny Marr were also there as well as band The Enemy, Kaiser Chiefs and Hurts, who won Best Video.
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis - who arrived in denim shorts - was also there with daughter Emily as they picked up the Best Festival gong.
The Foo Fighters, who coulnd't attend, won Best International Band, while Pulp, who performed, were awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music accolade.
Funny boys: Mathew Horne and jack Whitehall, who was presenting, stopped on the red carpet
