One of the music world’s biggest stars is going gaga for therapy. Here’s HLN and WOIO to explain.
“Free help from the mother monster. That’s the name for Lady Gaga. She’s going to offer free counseling during her ‘Born This Way’ Ball tour.”
“On her Born Brave Bus, fans will have access to professional, private, or group sessions on depression, bullying in school, and friends.”
Gaga tweeted the news to her fans on Friday, adding:
“I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around ‘help’ and make it fun.”
A member of The Daily Buzz crew applauds Gaga’s efforts to help her “Little Monsters.”
“You know she’s been a victim of bullying and I just love that she’s making it a point to help, even if it’s to help just one person, you know and giving them access to it. It’s all right there. Yeah no it’s a great idea. With music too!” (Via KUSI)
And a writer for Idolator points out Gaga’s announcement shouldn’t be surprising. “In 2011, the ‘Born This Way’ singer revealed … that after concerts she would invite troubled fans onboard her bus for cocoa and heart-to-hearts.”
And that year she also launched her ‘Born This Way Foundation’ which supports “programs and initiatives that deal with all aspects of empowering youth.”
Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour kicks off January 11th in Vancouver.
