Bono and Sinead O'Connor leave Christmas shoppers stunned as they take to the streets for impromptu charity busking gig

Bono and Sinead O'Connor are undoubtedly two of the biggest musical exports from Ireland.
So on Monday, shoppers in Dublin's Grafton Street got the shock of their lives when the singers turned into buskers for the day.
Continuing his annual tradition, the U2 front man took to the busy street to help raise money for homeless charities alongside some famous friends during Busking For Simon 2012.

Bono treated the frenzied crowd to some of his tunes including the 1988 hit Desire taken from his band's album Rattle and Hum.
The 52-year-old megastar was joined by Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard as last minute shoppers found themselves caught up in the impromptu concert.
Wearing a colourful pair of sunglasses, the Vertigo performer appeared to be in good spirits as the audience surrounded him.

Offering her unique vocal talents to the good cause, Sinead O'Connor joined the show and gave a stunning rendition of her classic Nothing Compares 2 U.
Dressed down the 42-year-old wore an oversized purple hooded jumper with a black jacket, jeans and black boots.
Completing her look O'Connor was seen holding a Aztec patterned clutch bag as she sported a colourful beanie and wrapped a black scarf around her neck.

Monday's show marks the fourth year Bono has called on his friend to help raise money for the charitable cause which aids The Simon Community and the Peter McVerry trust.
Since the show several videos have surfaced online which show the crowd singing along to holiday anthems including Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and Silent Night.
Damien Rice, Paddy Casey, Liam O'Maonlai, and Lisa Hannigan were also in tow.
