CORRIE bridesmaid Catherine Tyldesley wants to walk down the aisle for real after a romantic Christmas with her boyfriend.

The actress was delighted with the gifts Sam Witter bought her but told pals he is her "best present" and hinted she plans to marry him.

After being given a black pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, the Street star wrote on Twitter: "Best boyfriend in the land!!!! Love you @samwitter1 xxxxxxx".

And when pal Liz Taylor replied, "They are until you marry them!!" Cath teased, "You're doing the wedding! Merry Christmas!!"

She later tweeted personal trainer Sam's brother James, writing: "OMG!!! I'm still in shock at my amazing gifts!!! He's my best gift though! :-)"

On Christmas Day, viewers saw Catherine's character — feisty barmaid Eva Price — ruin her sister Leanne's wedding day. And in real life Cath made no secret of her bad luck with boyfriends.

But since meeting Sam, now her business partner as well, things seem to be looking up for Catherine.

Last night, a source close to the star said: "Catherine has been extremely busy this year and deep down she would love to have met a man who would sweep her off her feet and give her a fairytale wedding, like in those pictures.
