Snooki Gives Birth to Baby Boy

The world can now welcome its newest mini meatball. Jersey Shore star Snooki gave birth to a baby boy early Sunday morning. WJBK has the latest.
“She gave birth to Lorenzo Dominic overnight at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. A representative for Snooki told MTV right after the birth that the world just got another guido.”
Baby Lorenzo weighed in just over six pounds and is healthy. And according to a reporter for Good Morning America, the world might have to get used to a new Snooki.
“Snooki known for overdrinking, over tanning and general outrageousness...(FLASH) It's quite a transformation for the new mom, who's behaved herself since announcing the pregnancy and her engagement.”
And some newsrooms sure got a kick out of the news. CNN threw a spin on the announcement … using a parody to report when the actress went into labor.
“Nicole Snooki Pollizzi… is in a New Jersey hospital and at any time, may deliver into the world the nation's next reality TV star. CNN is following this event throughout the night.”
But some worry the birth of Lorenzo suggests the end of the world is near. A contributor for the Student Operated Press writes the Mayan prophecy might come true after all.
“ … with the birth of Snooki's baby we can all don our white robes, clutch our rosary beads and climb the nearest mountain to wait for the End of Times. Nobody knows who Snooki's baby daddy is, it could even be Satan himself.”
But fans of the original meatball can continue fist pumping… it doesn’t seem like the new addition will keep Snooki off the cast of Jersey Shore or off her spinoff show, Snooki and Jwoww. MTV told USA Today...
"’Looks like the Seaside Heights house just got its latest roomie. We look forward to Lorenzo's first trip to the Jersey Shore and can't wait to see his first animal print onesie.’"
MTV reports the last few months of Snooki’s pregnancy will be aired during the sixth season of Jersey Shore. The next season will begin in October.
