'Jersey Shore' Canceled, Eulogies Roll Out

Guidos, guidettes -- grab your airbrushed T-shirts so you have something to wipe your eyes with. The upcoming sixth season of ‘Jersey Shore’ will be the show’s last. The news was announced Thursday.
“Ratings have been steadily declining since season four.”
“The final season will kick off Thursday, October 4th.”
Now, cabs are being called, and goodbyes are being said.
Snooki Tweeted the announcement was sad, and that her time on the show was “fricken INSANE” …
And The Daily Beast plows through its top 10 ‘Jersey Shore’ moments ever --
Including Vinny and Snooki smushing, Sammi and JWoww’s girlfight, and Snooki’s arrest.
Gawker calls the cancellation “merciful” …
And CinemaBlend has the press release from MTV, which honestly -- almost doesn’t sound real.
“MTV will kick-off a season’s worth of celebratory ‘Jersey Shore’ farewell programming beginning Thursday, September 6 … MTV will reward fans with … the one-hour retrospective special, ‘Gym, Tan, Look Back,’”
But The New Jersey Star-Ledger points out that everyone might miss ‘Jersey Shore’ more than they think -- for the lingo, the crazy moments and -- basically -- because we all need something to hate.
Of course, this isn’t the end of the cast. ‘Snooki & JWoww’’s spinoff show has been renewed for a second season.
