Out of this world: Will.i.am to debut his latest single on the surface of Mars
CHART-TOPPER Will.i.am will give his latest single it's debut airing on Mars this week.
The quirky hitmaker has joined forces with the people at NASA, who will play reach For The Stars throught the speakers of the Curiosity robot rover which landed on the red planet earlier this month.
The move comes as part of a new educational initiative from Black Eyed Peas star Will's charity foundation i.am.angel.
A special event will be held by NASA on Tuesday, where students at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California will get to listen to the monumentous occasion.
Will.i.am - who recently signed up for a second series of The Voice in the UK - was present at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory when the rover landed on Mars on August 12.
At the time he excitedly Tweeted: "We did it!!! We landed on Mars... we did it humans ... humans landed Curiosity on Mars."
