Just one day after her thirtieth birthday, country star LeeAnn Rimes voluntarily checked into an inpatient facility to get help with anxiety and stress. WNYW has some of the background leading up to this news.

“Lee Ann Rimes, I remember when she started out-- talented, nice young girl.”
“Yes, she was adorable- huge success, split with her husband and remarried and lost a lot of weight.”

Rimes has been under the microscope because of her weight loss. But her rep told People magazine the star is not there for an eating disorder or substance abuse.

"While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

And a writer for Glamour Magazine adds-

“Much has been made of her frail frame but LeAnn has always been proud of her body, often showing it off in bikinis and firmly maintaining that she is healthy and does not suffer from an eating disorder.”

In a recent interview, Rimes told Celebuzz she was feeling good as she marked a new milestone.

“Thirty is a new beginning for me, and I’m making the most of it. ... I love what I do”

Rimes made music history at 14 years old, becoming the youngest artist to be nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award and the first country singer to win a Grammy for Best New Artist.

Rimes has been gearing up for the upcoming release of her new album called “Spitfire.” And fans shouldn’t worry, she will continue to perform in September during breaks from treatment.

Rimes and her husband renewed their wedding vows in April after celebrating one year of marriage. Her husband told E! Online he will be with Rimes through her treatment every step of the way.
