Is Clay Aiken a racist? According to Aiken’s former Celebrity Apprentice co-star John Rich, he is. The Twitter feud was sparked by some questionable tweets by Aiken regarding the Republican National Convention. The Tweet that launched a thousand ships read...
"Playing drinking game with my brother now. We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention #soberasamormon.”
That didn’t seem to sit well with Rich, who Tweeted back..
“CLAY! You should be ashamed for racist comments like THAT! WOW...I thought your charity was for inclusion, not EXCLUSION. What happened?
But Aiken could have been flipping between channels. The Examiner writes...
“Like a bell's effect on Pavlov's dogs, the Republican National Convention is causing singer Clay Aiken to go stark raving mad...Aiken seems to have missed the five major speeches given by minorities Tuesday night at the RNC.”
The Hollywood Gossip reports the feud was tame...at least by Twitter standards.
“No curse words, mostly decent grammar, even a smiley face emoticon.”
The twit feud comes amid reports that an RNC attendee allegedly threw peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman and said, "This is how we feed animals”....though neither party referred directly to the incident in their tweets. That attendee was reportedly removed from the convention floor.
