'Harry Potter' actress Emma Watson has become more ''experimental'' with make-up since cutting her hair because her face is more exposed.

Emma Watson has become more "experimental" with make-up since cutting her hair.

The 'Harry Potter actress chopped off her long locks last year and says it has made her become more bolder with her cosmetics choices as her face is now every exposed.

She told Stylelist: "I'm more experimental make-up. There's no way to hide when you have short hair. You really have to go for it."

Emma, 21, also says once she finds a product that suits her, she will stick with it.

She said: "I'm a creature of habit. I like to find what works and keep buying it. I like a bronzer or blush because I am so pale and English."

Emma - who is the face of Lancome - also says she likes to highlight her eyes by wearing Lancome's Hypnose Doll mascara.

She explained: "I'm big into Twiggy so I do bottom lashes and top lashes. This is really cool because it is specifically designed to get that look."

Emma recently revealed she worries about her looks but is determined not to conform to Hollywood's ideal appearance.

She said: "I do worry about the expectation to look a certain way. I find LA quite scary because of that - all those young people having plastic surgery. But the thing is, I don't want to look like everyone else.

"I don't have perfect teeth, I'm not stick thin. I want to be the person who feels great in her body and can say that she loves it and doesn't want to change anything."

The 21-year-old, who also plans to continue her studies at Oxford after cutting short her time at Brown University in America, has been taking fabric-cutting, design and sewing classes, I'm told.

'Emma wants to challenge herself creatively.

'She's obsessed with art at the moment,' says a mole.

'She's already designed a line of T-shirts and wants to expand her skills to create bespoke eveningwear.

'She looks up to designers such as Georgina Chapman and Sarah Burton.

'She has also been studying the work of Joan Miro to inspire her.'
