Willow Smith is the precocious daughter of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. At the age of nine, Willow released a dance-pop single, Whip My Hair, wherein she whips her hair around with paint spraying on a canvas. The song deals strictly with fun and friendly fare, it received good reviews from critics admiring Smith's talent for her age. The single was released on September 21st of 2010, and reached a peak position of 17 on the R&B Billboard charts as of October 2010. She is currently on the label Roc Nation with Jay-Z.

She has sold over 100 million albums as of October 2010. Her music took a more mature approach 20 years prior, and her popularity is extensive in her native Australia as well as her adopted UK. She received the Order of the British Empire from Queen Elizabeth II. She is well-known for her showmanship, staging lavish concerts.

Minogue is an advocate for breast cancer awareness, primarily due to her battle with the illness in the 2000s.
