More than a handful of people may be able to say they saw the Kim Kardashian divorce news coming, but her now-estranged husband Kris Humphries might not be one of them.
Kris Humphries responded to the split today, and in a statement said, "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
It seems hard to believe that Kris would be unaware of his wife's plans considering all the recent rumors flying about their relationship. However, he and Kim may have been used to dealing with untruths about their union. Tell us what you think - do you believe Kris didn't know the break-up was coming?
Kris Humphries Is Willing To Do "Whatever It Takes" To Make Marriage To Kim Kardashian Work!
We told you guys that Kris Humphries was reportedly blindsided by Kim filing for divorce this morning... but that isn't going to stop him just yet, because he's going to do whatever it takes to make it work. He's spoken up, saying:
"I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce ... I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
We're glad he's being open about what's going on, but we can't really imagine a marriage lasting when a divorce was filed 72 days into it regardless if she postpones it (so he can "do whatever it takes").

Kim Kardashian to File For Divorce After 72 Days
Reality tv star Kim Kardashian will reportedly file for divorce on Oct. 31, 2011 after a whirlwind 72 days of marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries.
Kardashian is seeking a divorce, not an annulment, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ.
E! mogul Ryan Seacrest, who produces Kim’s reality tv shows, confirmed the split on Oct. 31:

“Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning,” Seacrest tweeted Monday.
Kim, 31, and Kris, 26, married Aug. 20 in a lavish televised wedding on a private estate in tony Montecito, Calif., after dating for a year.
Kardashian, who signed a prenuptial agreement with Humphries, has recently been spotted out alone at hotspots in New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles while Kris has reportedly been partying and hanging out with friends during the NBA lockout.
While Kim had initially denied rumors her marriage was in trouble, unnamed sources told tabloids she was unhappy that Kris was unemployed and partying while she was out promoting her reality shows and self-branded merchandise.
Kardashian was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000-2004.
Kim’s business commitments have reportedly torn the couple apart since the marriage.
Kris didn’t make a recent trip to the Mideast with Kim, even though he’s not playing right now because of the NBA lockout. Momager Kris Jenner, went instead.
During a recent public appearance, however, the couple seemed to be on an even keel.
They dined with Kim’s sister Kourtney and boyfriend Scott Disick, at Hurricane Club in New York last night.
They were spotted leaving the restaurant holding hands, and both were wearing their wedding rings, according to various reports.
Kim and Kris, who married in a lavish wedding in August, although a two-hour television special featuring planning and preparation for the wedding was filled with tension.
Kris seemed like an awkward addition to the Kardashian clan and sister Khloe questioned his motive for marrying Kim.
Kris also doesn’t seem to enjoy the intense tabloid coverage that follows Kim.
