Are Hollywood's bad girls a thing of the past?

Rumour Patrol: Celebs Slam False Reports

There are few men the blonde beauty hasn't been linked to over the years and the latest is none other than hunky up-and-coming actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. US Weekly reports the 26-year-old actress was spotted making out with the 30-year-old leading man, insisting the pair appeared 'very lovey.' However, just as we began to play the romance reel in our heads, a rep for Levitt stepped in to yell 'cut!' denying any such romp ever took place. 'Joseph wasn't even in NYC the night US Weekly is reporting they were spotted together,' he told Celebuzz.

According to a Daily Mail report, the 'Teenage Dream' songstress is dealing with some teenage insecurities. The tab suggests Mrs. Russell Brand avoids female flight attendants at all costs because she's worried about coming face to face with one of her hubby's former flames. (In his wild and crazy single days, the British comedian apparently had a penchant for sexy stewardesses.) While the story certainly has the makings for some mid-marriage turbulence, Perry's spokesperson insists 'such assertions are false.'

After splitting with 'My Boys' actor Kyle Howard in June, the former 'Hills' starlet has been keeping a relatively low profile on the dating scene. That is until rumours began to swirl of a hot new hook-up with the hunky 'Dancing with the Stars' pro, who recently split with British singer Cheryl Cole. When pressed on the romance reports by E! Online, LC insisted she wasn't dating but was 'single' and 'having fun.'

According to a report in OK!, poor Sandra Bullock has been hurt once again, this time because the 'Gossip Girl' starlet has run off with Ryan Reynolds, who the magazine insists she was dating. 'Sandra is crushed,' a source says. 'She's doing her absolute best to hold her head high and act as if she's not bothered, but the truth is, she's very hurt.' Not so, a source close to Bullock tells Gossip Cop, insisting the pair has only ever been close friends and co-stars. 'It's all lies!' More proof the story is pure fantasy? The friendly trio partied together for Reynold's 35th birthday last week in NYC.

After the Queen of Reality TV's hubby was photographed carrying moving boxes out of their NYC pad, several sites suggested the newlyweds were already headed for divorce, noting Humphries was also sans wedding band. However, before friends of the pair had a chance to demand their wedding gifts back, the beaming couple appeared together in Las Vegas over the weekend to squash the rumours and toast Kardashian's 31st birthday. Turns out the boxes were for the couple's move back to L.A. and the missing wedding band? Unlike his blinged-out wife, the NBA player apparently isn't a fan of jewellery.

Rumours have been swirling for a while the star-studded group is splitting for good but the buzz reached fever pitch when they pulled out of a Michael Jackson tribute concert earlier this month. Fans of the group can now safely come out of mourning mode because Fergie has set the record straight once and for all. TMZ cameras caught up the bubbly songstress at LAX recently and asked her point black if there was any truth to the reports. 'We're going on hiatus because we need a break,' she said. 'A break is not a breakup. I watch Friends,' she joked.

Websites in Argentina have been busy circulating a scandalous story about Justin Bieber's wandering eye. As the story goes, the Canadian pop sensation was spotted kissing model Macarena Lemos while on tour in the country and is said to have told her: 'You are very pretty. I love your windbreaker.' Don't worry - you aren't the only one laughing. When contacted by Gossip Cop, the teen star's rep couldn't help but giggle over the gossip as well.

The ginger gent is in the U.S. for Apache military training but he's making headlines for his strict party regimen instead. Incriminating photos surfaced which appear to show the single prince kissing San Diego waitress Jessica Donaldson, but the 26-year-old brunette now says there was no such smooch, just heavy-duty flirting. 'I am speaking out now because I want people to know the truth,' she tells Britain's Sunday Mirror. 'He's really cool and down-to-earth and that's what I liked about him. I'm flattered he showed me attention but there is nothing more to it than that.'

Just as the troubled starlet was having her probation revoked last week, TMZ reported things were about to get way, way worse. The site claimed to have read excerpts from a book being shopped around by Dina Lohan, which supposedly exposed her famous first-born's 'dark secrets' and was intent on 'blowing the lid off Lindsay's alleged drug and alcohol use.' While the story was certainly believable considering Dina seems to place more importance on fame and fortune than family, mama dearest immediately jumped to slam the report, calling it a 'total lie.' However, her carefully worded statement to Gossip Cop left the door open for a book down the road. 'I would NEVER do a negative book about my child,' she said.

It appeared as if Justin Bieber's sweetheart was engaged in some very unDisney-like behaviour recently when alleged topless began circulating online. Thankfully, parents of tweens everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief because it turns out the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' star was the victim of a hoax. 'Selena's family is pursuing all available remedies to deal with the offender,' a rep for starlet told Gossip Cop.

It could very well be called the triumph of the good girls over the bad. In celebrity culture, the ‘bad girl’ image of the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and the recently deceased Amy Winehouse is now a thing of the past. The sex tapes, shoplifting, driving under the influence, dancing on tables and private parts-baring stunts of recent years have all been eclipsed by the clean and well-scrubbed images of the Grammy-winning singer Adele, the sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning, and Hailee Steinfeld. Elle and Hailee did the rounds of fashion week shows and after parties but there were no reports of them throwing bottles at photographers or pictures of them holding up the finger like Lohan.

Even in the world of hip hop and R&B, which has previously been linked to shootouts, gun slinging and drug overdose, has had a clean sweep. The daring stunts of its reigning stars, Beyonce and the relative newcomers Janelle Monae and Nicki Minaj, are often only of the fashion kind.

In the modeling world, the rise of girls like Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse and Joan Smalls is such a refreshing change from the wild partying ways of Kate Moss (OP's note: stfu forbes i haven't met 1 fan of joan smalls). And there’s also Natalia Vodianova who has been using her popularity towards philanthropic work.

At the height of the Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie escapades, it became common among girls to refer to each other as b***hes and hos. This was played out to demoralizing effect in one scene from the movie Mean Girls, which starred Lohan. These days, scandalous acts and naughty behavior is left to the Jersey Shore girls, but who’s really paying attention to them anyway? (another OP note: jersey shore is one of the most watched shows on TV so.....do your research, forbes)

It’s all about the good girls. It’s about being positive role models to young girls. The sincere and genuine kind. Not the America’s Next Top Model kind where contestants claim to want to be a positive influence to young girls then proceed to engage in a catfight with their fellow contestants. (OP note: this is true)

"Adele is such a good role model for young girls," says the designer Barbara Tfank who has dressed the singer for various events. This is part of the reason why she is topping the charts. Her soulful voice, powerful lyrics, emotional maturity and scandal-free image add to her allure and pulling power.

The same can be said for the Fanning sisters and Hailee and Emma Stone. Looking at these girls, you kind of can’t help but wish that there would be more of them in the entertainment industry. Then President Obama wouldn’t have to worry about his daughters, Sasha and Malia, watching the Kardashians.

I can't with this article. The world has become such a horrible place--we need interesting celebs to take our mind off of real problems. Adele won't take my mind off of anything.
