The next day (Oct. 11), Beyonce's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, sent ABCNews.com a statement shooting down the prothestic rumors, saying they are "stupid, ridiculous and false."

Beyonce admits inspired by Belgian dance moves

US singing superstar Beyonce acknowledged Tuesday that her latest video was inspired by the work of a Belgian choreographer who has threatened to sue for plagiarism.

But the singer said her "Countdown" video had other influences, and noted that it had already been viewed by 2 million people and could generate publicity for the Belgian work "Rosas danst Rosas" or "Rosas dances Rosas."

Choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has accused Beyonce of stealing routines for her "Countdown", calling it "pure plagiarism," Belgian dance troupe Rosas said Monday.

On Tuesday Beyonce issued a statement saying: "Clearly, the ballet 'Rosas danst Rosas' was one of many references for my video, 'Countdown.' It was one of the inspirations used to bring the feel and look of the song to life."

But she added: "I was also paying tribute to the film, 'Funny Face' with the legendary Audrey Hepburn. My biggest inspirations were the 60's, the 70's, Brigitte Bardot, Andy Warhol, Twiggy and Diana Ross."

Adria Petty, the co-director of her video, showed Beyonce the contemporary ballet from almost 30 years ago, she added in the statement issued by her publicist.

"It was refreshing, interesting and timeless. I've always been fascinated by the way contemporary art uses different elements and references to produce something unique.

"The video already has close to two million views so hopefully the fans will look at all the tributes and then discover Audrey Hepburn, Warhol, Bardot, 'Rosas danst Rosas' and all the works that inspired me and shaped this video."

There was no immediate reaction from the Belgian dance troupe, but Rosas spokeswoman Johanne De Bie said Monday that they had discovered the Beyonce clip on Friday.

"We noticed more than a few resemblances to the film that director Thierry De Mey made in 1997, 'Rosas dances Rosas',... and 1994's 'Achterland' .. We have passed the details to our lawyer to see about our rights," she told AFP.

The decor, a warehouse dance studio, plus the clothing and the dance moves in the video bear a striking resemblance to the filmed choreography "Rosas dance Rosas", as a comparative clip on YouTube entitled "Beyonce vs. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker" clearly shows.

"I was never contacted, this is pure plagiarism," the Belgian choreographer told Flemish radio.

My bump is NOT fake: Beyonce dismisses rumours she padded her belly for TV interview

Beyoncé Knowles has vehemently denied suggestions that the star is wearing a fake baby bump.

A spokesperson for the singer told America's ABC News today that insinuations about the 30-year-old singer donning a prosthetic belly for an interview on Australian television, were 'stupid, ridiculous and false.'

The dramatic denial comes after footage of the interview, given to local TV personality Molly Meldrum on the Sunday Night program, became a YouTube sensation.

Is Beyonce wearing a fake baby bump? Singer's rep calls claims 'stupid, ridiculous and false'

Oddly enough, this isn't the first time she's has been accused of faking the size of her expanding waistline.

When it comes to Beyonce's pregnancy, one thing is for sure – the mom-to-be is beaming with joy.

What remains a question, however, is what's going on with her baby bump?

During a recent interview with Australian talk show "Sunday Night HD," the singer's burgeoning belly puzzled viewers when it appeared to have collapsed in size as she slowly sat down in her seat.

The clip has sparked a frenzy of speculations, ranging from rumors that Beyonce is wearing a prosthetic bump to claims that she is faking the pregnancy entirely. Another explanation for the bizarre sight could be blamed on the material of the singer's dress.

In response to the belly talk, Beyonce's publicist told ABCNews.com the claims are "stupid, ridiculous and false."

Last month, rumors swirled that Jay-Z's better half wore a prosthetic bump for her big baby announcement at the MTV VMAs when photos of her bikini-baring body emerged one week later, showing a slightly less rounded midsection.

Regardless, the expecting mom is nothing more than ecstatic to be welcoming her first child in February.

"[Being pregnant] has already changed my life. My husband and I have been together for 10 years, for all of my twenties," she said on the Aussie talk show.

"I just feel like it's time and I'm very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift that any human being can have."

Indeed, Beyonce, who wed Jay-Z in 2008, said she feels ready to start this new part of her life.

"I think because I've accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn't rush into anything," she explained.

"If there's any time, right now is the time, and I'm so happy."
