It seems like all the fun has been jam-packed into one weekend (don't worry; there is plenty more where this all came from). Cirque du Soleil presents Dralion at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester this weekend. There will be a number of shows throughout the weekend from magical matinees to evening extravaganzas. Fusing the 3,000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion draws inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show visually pulls directly from nature with characters and color, and is nothing less than you'd expect from a Cirque du Soleil show. Tickets are $ 37-147.

Hampton Beach redux

Saturday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Enjoy two days of fun at the Hampton Beach Gala Event to open the Seashell complex at Hampton Beach. There will be a ribbon cutting with Governor Lynch plus live entertainment on Friday night. On Saturday, the event will feature an art show hosted by the Hampton Arts Network, a craft fair featuring New Hampshire made products, a historic display, and continuous live entertainment on the new stage. A wide range of bands that have played at Hampton Beach over the years will be performing and there will be fireworks to cap off the event. Ocean Boulevard will be closed for the gala festivities. Admission is free.

Check out the WGIR Sky Show 20 at Arms Park in Manchester this weekend. It truly is one of the most spectacular fireworks displays you'll ever see. Set to music, the show has become a kickoff to the summer season for the past twenty years. Gates open at 1 p.m. and you'll see live performances by Groove Child, Eve to Adam, Hurt, The Brew and more, plus headliners Blue Oyster Cult! Tickets are $ 5. Kids under 5 are free.

Something fishy!
Saturday, 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Plan to visit Portsmouth's Prescott Park for the WOKQ Chowder Festival this weekend. This annual outdoor treat brings a dozen seacoast restaurants to the park to compete for the title of "Best Chowder" so be sure to vote after you've tasted them all! This is the oldest and largest chowder event in New England with over 500 gallons of chowder being served to the crowds. Come enjoy an afternoon on the waterfront and have a chowdah lunch at the park. Tickets are $ 10. Kids 12 and under are $ 5.

Buckingham is back!

Lindsey Buckingham will return to the Lebanon Opera House this weekend. Buckingham is a legendary guitarist, songwriter, producer, Grammy Award winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In this intimate one-man show, Buckingham will show off his distinctive guitar picking style and instantly recognizable voice in his usual awe inspiring form. He'll be performing some of his own music, including songs from his most recent album, Seeds We Sow, as well as some Fleetwood Mac classics. Tickets are $ 49 and $ 62.

Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Cultural and Heritage Festival at Northern Forest Heritage Park in Berlin takes place this weekend. The festival will feature a full day of festivities and is centered around foods from Canadian, German, Irish, Native American, Russian and Norwegian heritages. Antique cars will be on display, and there will be live entertainment, artisans and crafts, a farmers market and more. There is no admission to walk through the park. For details, call 603-752-7202.

Dark Star Orchestra
Saturday, 8 p.m.
Dark Star Orchestra will perform once again at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom this weekend. The group is known for recreating the set lists of actual Grateful Dead shows. They have 2,300 to choose from. Which show they will perform is anyone's guess. But one thing is for sure, the band is not just a tribute band; they are the real deal, performing true to form, song by song, from whichever show they choose. Tickets are $ 26 in advance, $ 29 the day of the show.

Bring the kids to the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester to Touch a Truck 4 this weekend. The event will feature more than three dozen real-life vehicles for kids to sit in, climb on, and experience. There will be a Manchester Fire Department ladder truck, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway official pace car, Manchester Police Department vehicles, construction vehicles, and many others on display, including a replica Ghostbusters mobile, a troop carrier from the New Hampshire Air National Guard and many others. Admission is $ 5 with a cap of $ 20 per family. The event will benefit Noah's Ark Child Care Center in Manchester and the Mall of NH's Simon Youth Foundation.

It's Free Fishing Day throughout the Granite State this Saturday. That means you can fish without a license for this one day, thanks to the New Hampshire Fish and Game. Go back to your childhood with the 14th Annual International Classic Video Game Tournament, held at Funspot in Laconia this weekend. Come watch all the competitors (or be a participant) and see the event that sparked the revival of classic arcade game competitions. The first 100 registrants will receive a goody bag and commemorative t-shirt. Hailed as the "Mecca of Classic Gaming" by MSNBC, the American Classic Arcade Museum at Funspot celebrates the origins of the arcade industry with all the popular games of the past such as Centipede, Pac-Man, Asteroids and many others. Come take part in the tourney or enjoy a day at Funspot. Tickets at the door (to participate in the tournament) are $ 60.

We can't list every Old Home Day celebration, but this one is early and it's filled with some fun activities that the whole family will enjoy. Taking place in Goffstown Village this weekend, there will be a duck race, trolley rides, a strawberry cook-off, a library book sale, family games, and - this one we love - the Wicked Wacky Watah Kraft Race! So bring your canoe, pile the kids into the car, and spend the day in historic Goffstown Village. We promise you'll have fun! Besides, admission is free.
