Justin Bieber Wanted for Questioning Over Possible Assault

Criminal battery? Justin Bieber? Never say never. L.A. police want to talk with the star about an alleged assault on a paparazzo over the weekend. Here’s KTLA.
“He was trying to take a photograph of Mr. Bieber when Mr. Bieber exited his vehicle, got out and confronted the photographer, at which time there was an altercation.”
A witness told ABC News the photographer was blocking Bieber’s car and that set off the pop star. Bieber lost his hat and a shoe in the fray. And ABC News reports the photographer claimed to be in pain.
“The photographer insisted on an ambulance and filed a police report. But sources tell TMZ this was only after a lawyer passing by said he could get some money out of it.”
And in an odd-foreshadowing, TMZ said Bieber hung out with former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson just days before the assault apparently getting some boxing tips from him.
Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez left the scene before police arrived. And the star is currently in Norway doing a promotional gig so he hasn’t been available to meet with police. An entertainment attorney told Fox News witnesses are coming to his defense.
“A Veteran Paparazzo, I believe that’s the name, said this particular photographer was actually way across the line in his invading Justin Bieber’s bodyspace.”
Attorney and former prosecutor Star Jones said on the Today show the paparazzo could face charges under California’s anti-paparazzi law. But a media analyst says Bieber could have been using this incident as a way to scuff up his squeaky clean image.
“He’s looking to shift. He’s hanging around with Floyd Mayweather. He’s getting boxing lessons from Mike Tyson. He’s with 50 cent. That’s all well and good. But he’s clearly making a shift in how he wants to present himself to the public.”
Bieber could face up to a year in the county jail if charged and convicted. But don’t worry bieblers (bee-leah-bers), ABC’s legal expert said that would never happen in a zallion years.
