NRJ Music Awards: Alicia Keys is daring in revealing gown

She was one of the biggest names at the ceremony, so whatever she wore she was bound to stand out more than most.

But true to form, Alicia Keys ensured she made an impact in the fashion stakes nevertheless at France's NRJ Music Awards on Saturday night.

The songstress showed off her skin in a stunning floorlength black cut out gown.

Showing off her skin thanks to strategically placed cut outs, she wowed the crowd as she posed for pictures on the red carpet.

Obviously feeling confident thanks to the striking enesmble, she ensured she posed in every angle to make sure the perfect shots were taken.

And she was clearly content getting a night off from mummy duties as she brought husband Swizz Beatz along.

While she stunned in the glamorous frock and intricate up 'do, Swizz went for a dapper look in a navy blue suit and trilby hat.

But while she drew attention thanks to the get-up, all eyes were on another former couple in attendance.

It could have been one of the most awkward moments in a pop star's personal life - running in to your recent ex boyfriend at a highly publicised awards show.

But one thing's for sure Taylor Swift wasn't going to arrive quietly at the NRJ Music Awards.

The country singer lead the glamour set at the annual ceremony, ensuring if she did run into former lover Harry Styles that she would at least look her best for the occasion.

Taylor stood out on the red carpet, showing off her enviably slender legs in a plunging gold gown.

She sparkled in the ensemble, which flattered her slim physique, while she finished off her look with complimentary gold heels.

And it was a good job she looked so on form as she then had to sit through the ceremony watching Styles and his band perform, before then picking up the award for Best International Group.

Reunion time? Harry and Taylor arrived separately to the event but were rumoured to be using the event to rekindle their romance

The boys showed up at the event wearing matching ensembles in co-ordinating black and brown.

And while the boys seemed in a playful mood, with Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik clowning around on the carpet, Harry seemed pensive on entry.

Although he put in a stellar performance, knowing his ex would be there to see him in all his glory.

But he was made victorious as the boys picked up one of the biggest awards of the night, while Taylor walked away empty handed.

In it to win it: Styles quickly tweeted thanking everyone for the title as soon as they walked back off stage

Tweeting after taking to the stage, Styles wrote: 'Thank you so much to @NRJhitmusiconly and our fans for the award!! See you later .xx.'

She completed her style with her hair worn down and straight, with plenty of lip gloss perfecting her pout.

Leading up to the event there has been much speculation that Styles and Swift are planning a big reunion after reportedly holding crisis talks to salvage their relationship in London.

And while Taylor has been spotted living it up in Cannes in the lead up to the bash, Styles was seen arriving in the region with his bandmates on Saturday morning looking somewhat glum.

Although they had plenty of distraction at the event as a whole host of other celebrities were in attendance to take their minds off each other.

They were joined by French reality star Ayem Nour, who claimed in December she had enjoyed a fling with singer Chris Brown when he visited Paris.

She stood out in a white halterneck dress, while French model Marie Ange-Casta was pretty in pink in her bright frock.

Emeli Sande and carly Rae Jepsen were the other female stars in tow, standing out in their very different outfits.
