The enterprising fan seized on her chance to grab Katie's attention while the pin-up was in and out of meetings at London's Mayfair Hotel.

Model Katie had parked her garish motor – arguably the most recognisable celebrity vehicle – outside the establishment.

Kayleigh tweeted her idol two days ago, writing: "Thanks for my pic at your car really appreciate it as had ur kiddies with you! Please follow me."

Clearly her request wasn't fulfilled, hence her more direct approach of yesterday.

She wore leather trousers, a bright yellow jacket that clashed with her ride's paintwork and sported orange skin.

The Sun columnist, 34, recently returned from her honeymoon in the Bahamas, where she married third hubby Kieran Hayler, 25.

She has revealed their romantic trip was almost ruined by a series of disasters at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort where they stayed.

Katie says a butler asked if she was a porn star and that "ugly skyscrapers" surrounded the beach where she and builder Kieran tied the knot.

Summarising the resort, she said: "Sandals, my a*** — it was more like a smelly old flip-flop."
