TOWIE'S Gemma Collins stunned fellow guests on 8 Out of 10 Cats last night by revealing she didn't watch the news but had been educating herself with the crackpot musings of David Icke.
Appearing on the Channel 4 news quiz show, she said: "People my age don't watch the news because it's boring."
When asked by host Jimmy Carr how old she is, she replied: "32."
The reality TV star then rambled on about how she had discovered David Icke on the internet and said she found his theories about lizards interesting as fellow guests Richard Bacon, Katherine Ryan, Henning Wehn, Sean Lock and Jon Richardson looked on bewildered.
Icke is a former footballer and sports presenter whose conspiracy theories and rantings have made him more famous now than when he was a soccer star.
Gemma's confession that she didn't keep up to date with current affairs sparked a debate on Twitter as to why she was chosen to appear on a show like 8 out of 10 Cats where guests are asked questions based on the week's big stories.
Victoria Potts tweeted: "Why is Gemma Collins on 8 Out Of 10 Cats again, she's a f**** idiot and makes herself look like a mug."
