Nicole Kidman lights up the red carpet at the AACTA Awards in a yellow dress

She was greeted with a passionate kiss from her husband Keith Urban as she arrived in Australia following a long haul flight from America on Tuesday alongside her daughters and Russell Crowe.

And not one to allow the feeling of being jet-lagged get in the way of a chance to get glammed up, Nicole Kidman made a stunning appearance last night at the AACTA Awards.

With only a few hours sleep, the 45-year-old looked as fresh faced as ever as she lit the red carpet at the Star Casino in Sydney with the help of a yellow dress.

Stealing the spotlight from the other guests in attendance, Nicole seemed to have taken inspiration from her latest role where she portrays Grace Kelly.

As the picture of elegance, Kidman stunned in a strapless pastel yellow mid-length dress which was beautified with silver embroidery.

The gorgeous dress also featured lace insets and did well to compliment the Eyes Wide Shut actress' flawless complexion.

In a recent interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Nicole revealed that she would never botox again or go under the knife.

She said: 'No surgery for me. I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.'

And letting the publication in on how she manages to stay radiant, she continued: 'I am completely natural. I wear sunscreen, I don't smoke and I take care of myself, and I am proud to say that.'

Completing her red carpet look, Nicole accessorised with a pair of golden drop earrings as she opted to kept her make-up light.

Choosing to wear her hair, which was styled in a centre parting, back in a loose ponytail, a pair of high shine open toe nude coloured strapped stilettos finished Kidman's ensemble.

Just hours before Nicole's red carpet appearance she jumped off a plane from LAX with her good friend Russell Crowe and her two daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Making their way out of the terminal, Crowe offered Nicole a helping hand with the girls and carried two-year-old Faith in his arms.

The Robin Hood actor, 48, beamed as he pointed out the girls' father Keith Urban before handing them other to the country singer and going his own way.

Once reunited with her other half, Nicole was given the warmest ever welcome by husband Keith who greeted her with a kiss and a hug.

Nicole could tell she had been missed by the American Idol judge who pulled her close and shared the moment with their two daughters.

As Keith, 45, planted a tender kiss on his wife's lips, their children Sunday and Faith held on lovingly to their father's arms.

Keith, who also previously appeared as a judge on The Voice Australia, made no secret of how much he had missed his wife while she has been away in the USA.

Speaking to the Heraldsun.com, he said: 'I was telling Nic before that when we finally got into Sydney, I got to the house, flicked on the TV and I got to see my wife, I got to see what she was wearing.

'I hit pause on one shot and stood there staring at her... and started crying. I hated the fact she was there without me, on her own. Ridiculous, right?'
