Reese Witherspoon gave birth to a baby boy Thursday morning. WLOS reports.

“The actress gave birth to a son named "Tennessee James Toth" today. This is first child with husband Jim Toth. Reese has two other kids with actor Ryan Phillippe... 13-year-old Ava... and 8-year-old Deacon.”

Tennessee James, yes, Tennessee, as in the state. Curious? WTXF and WCBS speculate.

“Why Tennessee? Reese used to live in Nashville.”

“Witherspoon grew up in Nashville and won an oscar for "Walk the Line" both possible inspirations for the name.”

Hollywood.com points out baby Toth isn’t the first celebrity to be named after a place. Among the them are David and Victoria Beckham’s son Brooklyn, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s son Moroccan, Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris, and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri.

Witherspoon and her husband welcomed were married in March of this year. People quoted a source shortly after the wedding who said...

“Right after the wedding, Reese expressed a desire to have a baby with Jim,’ said the source. ‘Reese has been very open with her kids about her plans to expand the family.”

Witherspoon’s rep says both the baby and mommy are healthy.
