Gwyneth Paltrow turns 40
GWYNETH Paltrow has turned 40 today — and the stunning star has never looked better.
The actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has a figure and complexion most 20-year-olds would die for.
And on top of that she has two gorgeous children — Apple, eight, and six-year-old Moses.
The self-confessed fitness freak has also recently told how she cut herself a little more slack as the big 4-0 crept closer.
She revealed she has softened her previously strict views on diet, admitting her guilty pleasures include a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or a turkey burger with chips or fried courgette.
Gwyneth told a magazine: "I was macrobiotic for a couple of years. Then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream.
"What I learned is I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it."

Gwyneth has recently been voted the world's most stylish woman — and proves it with a spate of recent sartorial gold.
She looked chic in jeans and a grey jacket as she attended a charity do in London this week while doing classy and elegant in a little black dress at a film premiere earlier this month.
But the Iron Man star has not always been so sure-footed when it comes to fashion.

At the 1998 premiere of her film Sliding Doors, Gwyneth donned an oriental-inspired knee-length dress that did nothing for her complexion.
While the baby pink gown she wore to the Oscars the following year looked like she had nicked it off a Princess Barby.

With age, the Hollywood beauty gained in style savvy — showing off her pins in a sexy black dress at the Iron Man premiere in 2008.
But the daring white number she chose for a hotel's grand opening in Miami, Florida, later that year broke the fashion rule never to go short on the top AND the bottom.

However, Gwyneth never strays into wardrobe disaster territory for long.
At a fundraising dinner for President Barack Obama this month she looked incredible in an elegant figure-hugging white dress.
