britney spears manager crystal meth

BRITNEY Spears' former manager has claimed that a "drug-sniffing dog found a cache of crystal meth in her home."

Sam Lutfi made the explosive new allegations as he prepares to fight her family in court next.

He is suing the family for defamation and breach of contract following publication of Through The Storm, by the star's mother Lynne Spears.

And earlier this month he asked a judge to force the Toxic singer to testify about certain incidents.

In the papers filed at the LA court, he claimed that the dogs found the stash in her home in 2007 and that her sons, Sean and Jaden – just two and one at the time – could have come in contact with them.

The documents, which have been seen by a US website, allegedly state that Britney should testify that the drug dogs found "hot spots of drug residue in the carpeting, where her young sons played during visits."

Lutfi goes on to say that he shampooed the carpet and replaced some flooring to get rid of the residue.

The former manager's new legal bid comes as a result of Britney's new job as an X Factor judge.

In previous court hearings, the singer's legal guardians have argued she is not mentally competent enough to testify.

But Lutfi argues that her appearance on the talent show proves she is competent – and has submitted a DVD of the programme to demonstrate this.

Now he wants her questioned about the incidents and about a contract guaranteeing him a slice of her fortune.

The legal battle first started in 2009, when Lutfi sued the family over claims that he had drugged Britney and cut her phone lines.

In April, her aides filed papers demanding he hand over £75,000 in legal fees run up while obtaining a restraining order against him.

And in July he was ordered to pay a further £57,000 in legal fees.
