Azealia Banks performs at Manchester Academy

IF AZEALIA BANKS can win over SAMANTHA CAMERON with her no-nonsense, sweary lyrics, a load of teenagers were never going to be a problem.

The rapper kicked off her UK tour at the student venue on Friday.

As soon as the whippet bounded on stage in a flashing bra, the excitable, adolescent crowd jumped with her.

I'd like to say it was note perfect but I wouldn't really know – Azealia raps faster than a steam train. The potty-mouthed New Yorker kept things fairly tight in her 45-minute set, saving her hit, 212, until last.

Azealia's tour is a sellout, proving she is well and truly on the map. And her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, isn't even out until next March.

Good job, really. It wouldn't be one you'd want to get your nan for Christmas.
