Keira Knightley and James Corden have a giggle shooting scenes for Can A Song Save Your Life? in New York

KEIRA Knightley and James Corden share a joke on the set of their new movie.

The British stars appeared to be getting on like a house on fire as they shot scenes for Can A Song Save Your Life? in New York.

The Gavin & Stacey funnyman kept making his pretty colleague giggle, and the actress replied by pulling funny faces at him.

Keira was dressed casually in ripped jeans, vest and sandals, while James was clad in an odd combo of rolled-up chinos, shirt and hat.

In the movie, the actress plays a struggling musician alongside Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who ditches her to follow his dreams of stardom.

Mark Ruffalo also stars, and previous pictures of the actor kissing Keira on-set suggest he plays her romantic interest.

The film is directed by John Carney, who first came to prominence with his mesmerising 2006 Irish musical Once.

Despite all the on-set laughter with James and the smooches with Mark, in real life Keira is preparing to marry Klaxons singer James Righton.

A spokesperson for the screen siren confirmed their engagement in May.

The couple have been dating since February last year after they were introduced by mutual friend Alexa Chung.

They moved into a London pad in February, splashing out a reported £2.4million on the love nest.

All's going well in James Corden's life too – his fiancée Julia Carey gave birth to their first child, Max, in March and the actor hit a career high when he scooped a Tony Award last month.

Fighting back tears as he collected his Best Actor prize for his role in Broadway play One Man, Two Guvnors, he said: "My girlfriend Julia gave birth to our son, like, five days before we started rehearsals.

"She's my baby mama, and I can't wait to marry her. Seriously, I would not be holding this if it wasn't for her.

"She makes me say 'us' instead of 'I' and 'we' instead of 'me', and I love her. Thank you very much."
