Pop singer Sheryl Crow is taking to the courts claiming a 45-year-old man, Phillip Gordon Sparks, is a threat to her, her family and employees. Here’s WLWT and WVPI.

“She testified that he has claimed online he believes Sheryl Crow has stolen money from him and broke into his house. She also says the man recently told a worker at an entertainment union that he was going to ‘just shoot’ her.”

“The judge has ordered Sparks to stay at least 100 yards away from Crow and not attempt to contact her or her family.”

The Daily Mail says Crow’s concerns don’t end there.

Sparks also allegedly claimed Crow had broken into his house to find his gun, had secretly filmed him and tried to have him arrested.

TMZ reports Crow felt the news was — unsurprisingly — extremely alarming. A total of 17 people are included in the restraining order, some of whom Sparks allegedly mentioned in one of his Facebook posts.

In the court papers, the singer said:

“It was clear to me that [Sparks] was deeply disturbed because his posts were delusional, rambling, filled with profanity and laced with angry rants.”

The Associated Press reports a hearing on a three-year protective order is scheduled for Aug. 14, in Santa Monica, Calif.
