Xtra TV for Russell Brand

The comedian's chat show Brand X is being commissioned for a second series.

Execs at the FX channel have revealed that they are giving him another seven episodes of the programme to air in the autumn.

The deal is rumoured to be worth around £125,000 – more than enough to keep a bloke in wheatgrass shots for a few weeks.

A source said: "Russell's had a tough time of it in recent months but TV audiences still like watching him in the US.

"He had already announced that he wanted to focus on comedy instead of films, so this will have come as welcome news to him."

It might be bad news for any other blokes trying to pull at his yoga classes. He's got that sewn up.
