And also in U.S. news, the mother of a man shot and killed by Anaheim police officers is speaking out. In the days after Manuel Diaz’s killing this weekend, protesters have turned violent. Diaz’s mother is now begging for demonstrators to stop the violence. KTLA has the video.

The same day sources revealed Colorado shooting suspect had reportedly sent a package to a psychologist detailing his plans to kill people — new questions. Fox News explains.

“Officials will not say whether they saw any other signs of trouble. They tell us that the suspected shooter passed a background check. ... Tonight, investigators are reportedly looking whether the suspect used our tax dollars to purchase his weapons.”

UN chief Ban Ki-moon is appealing for international help ending what he calls the “slaughter” in Syria.

This, days after a UN Security Council measure calling for tougher sanctions on the regime was once again blocked by Russia and China. Activists say Syrian troops with armored vehicles are moving to aggresively re-take rebel-held areas of Aleppo.

Finally in entertainment — “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart is apologizing for an affair with married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. This less than a day after news of the affair broke. Inside Edition has details.
