Miley Cyrus confesses that she smokes 'too much weed' when given a Bob Marley birthday cake

Miley Cyrus made a startling confession at her 19th birthday party last week.

The performer called herself a 'stoner' and a 'pothead' as she was presented with a Bob Marley cake.

Miley addressed the crowd when given the cake and appeared to admit that she was a heavy marijuana user.

'You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake,' the former Disney starlet said in video obtained by The Daily. 'You know you smoke way too much f**king weed!'

The bash was held at Beacher's Madhouse inside the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday which was hosted by her friend Kelly Osbourne, 27.

The Fashion Police host responded to Miley's comments by laughing, 'I thought salvia was your problem!'

Kelly was alluding to the incident in 2010 when Miley was captured on camera smoking out of a bong which she denied at the time was marijuana.

She instead claimed that she was smoking the legal hallucinogen, salvia.

However, her rep insisted Miley was joking: 'It's all been taken out of context. The cake was a joke and Miley's response was intended to be sarcastic.'

Kelly later took to her Twitter page to defend Miley, saying that it was all a joke.

'Let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her Bob Miley as a JOKE! The cake was also A JOKE,' she wrote.

'It makes me sick that @Miley Cyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!

'U guys if @MileyCyrus is not recording/filming/touring she is works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think.' (sic)

Miley rarely needs an excuse to let her hair down but her last year as a teen proved a prime opportunity to party as she mingled with a gaggle of showbiz friends.

The guestlist included her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, Kelly Osbourne - who organised the bash - Rumer Willis and Victoria Justice.

Parents Tish and Billy Ray were also in attendance at the event, where entertainment included dancing dwarves and a performance of Super Bass by a mini Nicki Minaj impersonator.

Miley thanked her friend Kelly in a tweet for organising the bash.

'Can’t thank @MissKellyO for the best partyyyy ever! =]]]] i loveeeee you!'

She added: 'Let’s just say there was a unicorn in the lobby,' describing how a horse with a horn attached to its head was brought into the party.

Other attendees included her half sister Brandi, sisters AJ and Aly Michalka, and Heroes actor Justin Baldoni.

Ahead of the birthday party, Kelly told E! about what she had planned.

'It’s intimate, but it’s going to be the sickest [party] she’s ever seen in her life,' she teased.

'Although I see her on the same level mentally as me, I also realise that Miley’s 19 and she deserves to still have fun,' she went on.

'Because that girl has so much pressure on her and has worked her ass off her entire life that I think a lot of the time people forget that she deserves to have fun too.

'So that was my mission for her, to make her birthday…the best day ever… I’ve got all sorts of madness and craziness.'

In a video obtained by The Daily, the former Disney star is presented with a Bob Marley-themed cake at her birthday party held last week in L.A.

“You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake,” Cyrus said of the confection. “You know you smoke way too much [expletive] weed.”

Kelly Osbourne, who helped throw the bash, replied, laughing, “I thought salvia was your problem, Miley?” Osbourne was referring to a video of Cyrus smoking the legal herb salvia that was reportedly shot shortly after her 18th birthday.

Osbourne came to the birthday girl’s defense on Twitter after the new video surfaced.

“let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE! the cake was also A JOKE!” Osbourne tweeted. “it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called ‘friends’ would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!”

A rep for Cyrus told Entertainment Weekly that the cake and her response to it was a joke.
