With some serious craftiness, apparently!
Coming off her big wins at the CMAs and AMAs, Swift has been crafting handmade snow globes with friends.
The singer, 21, posted a photo of eight festive jars on her Instagram feed with the caption, "Home made snow globes with friends. The whole fleet!"
Swift also included a close up of Christmas tree and angel-filled globes, calling them "Christmas in a jar, with glitter."

There's just something about Taylor Swift that makes the entertainment world fall in love with her. She ended her Speak Now World Tour on a high note at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Monday and Tuesday, November 21 and 22, with guests like the Goo Goo Dolls, Selena Gomez and James Taylor helping her make international headlines. Not to mention this same week she picked up several American Music Award trophies, including for Artist of the Year, as reported by ABC News. Oh, and then she had a top-selling DVD release. So what's the secret to her success and why is Hollywood so mad for the sweet-looking performer?
Beyond Talent
Yes, talent is where it starts. Taylor is more than a triple threat in that area. She writes her own music, including all of her "Speak Now" album. She also plays the piano and the guitar. It takes more than talent to make it in the tough music industry and to take on a mega-success on the level of Swift's. She has a strong work ethic and a tenacity to keep at it. Just because she succeeded when she was very young does not mean that she's an overnight sensation. She has been working hard and learning music for most of her life, and she's even been writing songs since the age of 12, as she confessed to her audience during her recent concert tour.
Keeping It Real
Taylor remains very humble and sweet in a genuine way. She introduces herself by name at the start of her concerts, and she has a sincere interaction with the audience members during her show, thanking specific ones and commenting on specific efforts within the audience. She also has an attitude of gratitude in all that she does, whether it's accepting an award or performing a self-penned ballad on stage for over 12,000 people.
Communication
Taylor lets her fans know what's up. She updates her website and an official Twitter account all the time. This sincere sharing of her life displays a clear understanding of the responsibilities and privilege that come with celebrity, even though she achieved fame at an early age. She even enthuses over the joys of the holidays and everyday life. As she said on her official Twitter account, @TaylorSwift13, "I got really excited about Christmas and bought all the holiday flavored coffee creamers at the grocery store." She accompanies many tweets, including that one, with photos she takes of her life along the way.
Grace Under Pressure
You don't mess with the underdog. Okay, so it's hard to call a gorgeous, blond singing superstar an underdog, but that is how the world felt when Kanye West so famously interrupted her speech at VMA ceremony back in 2009 to speak about her fellow nominee, Beyoncee, according to MTV News. Taylor handled it with sincere shock but also sincere kindness. She took the high road, and the world took notice of her professionalism and grace. She's handled many situations that would make most of us lose our cool with a gentle attitude that she wears so well.
In Their Own Words
The singer is also quick to give recognition to fans and friends who have helped her along the way. Sometimes the people on that list are celebrities. Celeb gossip columnist Perez Hilton recently tweeted her, via@PerezHilton, to say, "I just wanna put you in my pocket and have you with me at all times!!!! You are too precious for words!" The boys - Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan - are seen performing track One Thing around some of the capital's most famous sights.
Exclusive footage shows the quartet on London's Victoria Embankment. There is even a jogger pounding the pavement in the background, unaware of the commotion.
Some of the fans who had gathered even got a chance to be in the clip at the end of the shoot.
Earlier in the day the boys had filmed more scenes on Oxford Street and in a central London park.

In the park, Harry was seen racing down a slope in a mini Rolls Royce while being chased by Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson and some space hoppers.
Another scene for the promo to One Thing saw Harry riding a chopper bike. Zayn Malik is seen running for a bus armed with an umbrella before the group gather on the top deck.
