Celebrities who bid adieu to 'Twitter'

Twitter has grown widely popular among fans in the past few months. It has become a platform for several celebrities to share their life and experiences with those who are ready to follow them anywhere. But, every act has its own positives and negatives and Twitter is no exception. Among a few disadvantages one is that you may not have an idea as to who is really following you. With the 'freedom of expression', it gives the right to post anything, however, it may also lead to bad reviews from the followers.

Hence with the limitations, many celebrities decided to shut down their twitter accounts.

1. Sinead O'Connor: Among the recent ones who closed their twitter accounts is Sinead O'Connor, the artist with the hit song 'Nothing Compares 2 U' followed by Ashton Kutcher, the tenth most popular twitter user after a discomfit comment on the Penn State football scandal.

2. Amanda Bynes and John Mayer: Both of them decided to take a break from this site too. Amanda Bynes, the actress felt uncomfortable with how easily anyone can access her personal life.

3. John Mayer: The Grammy winner also left his followers abandoned and confused without his constant updates on twitter, though he remains active at Tumblr.

4. Leann Rimes: An American pop singer closed her twitter account in July, 2010 as several attacked her on the site for cheating on her ex husband.

5. Ricky Gervais: This great Comedian left the microblogging service after less than a month of tweeting as he found it to be a fun networking device for teenagers but at the same time a bit undignified for adults using it.

6. Stephen Fry: A popular British celebrity threatened to quit this site after a fan called his tweets boring.

Now, who will be the next celebrity to become a Twitter quitter? Paris Hilton and David Henrie after constant fan rumors have been rethinking of closing their Twitter accounts too. With all the online drama let's wait and watch who will be the next one to depart from Twitter.

Kim Kardashian on Finding Love: 'I Need to Be More Realistic'

Reality television's most famous sisters cover the December issue of Glamour magazine, with soon-to-be divorced Kim Kardashian revealing, "I believe in love and the dream of having a perfect relationship, but my idea of it has changed. I think I need to not live in a fairy tale like that. I think I maybe need to just snap out of it and be more realistic."

Kim, 31, went on to say to Khloe and Kourtney, "I always wanted what Mom and Dad had. And at first I was like, I want six kids. Then I went down to four, then I was down to three, and now I'm like, maybe I won't have any. Maybe I'll just be a good aunt."

Younger sister Khloe reminded Kim, "But Mom and Dad got a divorce, and she met Bruce. And you were a child; you don't know what Mom and Dad had. As an outsider looking in, it probably looked like paradise."

Kris Humphries on Kim Kardashian: Bitch Set Me Up! (video)

Kim Kardashian apparently has no sense of decency. She played estranged husband Kris Humphries as the fall guy on the premiere of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” leaving Kris and his family “horrified” at the depiction.

Since the show aired on Nov. 27, reports have surfaced that Kris is mortified at his portrayal, not only because of what aired on the show and how it was taken out of context, but also because of what was left out.

Kim seems to be taking a scorched earth strategy toward her estranged husband in an effort to justify her decision to end their fledgling marriage after just 72 days.

Although Kim said her decision was too painful to become grist for her reality shows, “Kourtney & Kim” focused squarely on the breakup of the marriage. The result was a ratings bonanza.

The premiere drew 3.2 million viewers, most of which in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

The show was not only the highest rated of the series, but also landed in the top twenty most viewed shows in E!’s history, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Producers opened the first episode with a montage of media coverage of the split, and then used a flash back to detail the origins of the marriage’s disintegration.

While the show probably drew viewers like a car wreck draws rubberneckers, at least one viewer watched in disbelief.

Kris watched in “utter horror, because it’s just not a true depiction about what was actually going on between Kim and Kris,” an insider tells gossip site RadarOnline.

“Kris did jokingly say that Kim ate too much wedding cake, but what viewers didn’t see was Kim nagging Kris about working,” the source said.

Kim was constantly pestering Kris about being idle, but “there was nothing he could do about the NBA lockout.”

“It was actually Kim’s idea that Kris go back to Minnesota to train and give them some distance,” following the nude yoga incident, the Web site reports.

Friends of Kris’ say putting Kourtney’s son Mason, outside his room was also another set up. “Kris wasn’t getting any sleep at all,” the insider revealed.

“Scott and Kourtney were staying downstairs, and Scott felt that the producers of the show were just trying to provoke [Kris] into reactions.”

“A lot of things on reality TV are manipulated easily, but with this show, there were a lot of scenes and situations that are going to paint him in a negative light,” another source told the New York Daily News.

The editing is a “big concern” to Kris and his family, adds the source.

Kris still loves Kim and speaks fondly of her, another source told The News. He is “genuinely in love with her.”
