Kylie Minogue has been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

The Australian singer, who is best known for hit singles such as 'Better the Devil You Know' and 'Spinning Around', accepted the award on stage at the 25th anniversary of the annual music awards in Sydney last night.

After being inducted by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Minogue told the audience that she felt "amazement [that she is] still here [plus] gratitude, humility, wonderment and pride".

She thanked her long-term manager Terry Blamey, mentor Michael Gudinski and boyfriend Andres Velencoso, saying: "My boyfriend Andres... is in love with this country... you've made him feel very welcome."

Minogue admitted that her parents Ron and Carol had chosen to stay at home in Melbourne and watch the awards ceremony on TV, saying: "I invited them, but they don't like to make a fuss."

Children's entertainment group The Wiggles were also inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Minogue.

Acts such as Gotye and Boy and Bear were particularly successful at the ARIA Awards 2011 last night.

One lucky Kylie Minogue fan could be soon be spinning around in the singer's personalised sports car, which is going under the hammer in London.

Minogue is putting her personalised Lexus CT200h up for auction in aid of children's charity, the NSPCC.

'I am delighted to be donating my Lexus CT200h to the NSPCC for their City of London Christmas dinner, with all the proceeds going to their Helpline,' she said.

'I have been driving it throughout 2011 and I hope that the generous bidder gets as much enjoyment out of it as I have.'

The 43-year-old singer's black compact car will be sold to the highest bidder at the NSPCC City of London Christmas dinner at the Savoy Hotel on Thursday.

The event will include a champagne reception, three-course dinner and entertainment from Armstrong and Miller star Alexander Armstrong.

The annual City of London Christmas dinner has raised more than STG3 million ($A4.76 million) for the NSPCC in the past 16 years.

All the money raised will go towards the NSPCC Helpline, a telephone and online service which provides advice, guidance and support for adults who are concerned about the welfare of a child or young person.

'I am delighted that Kylie Minogue has agreed to donate her very own Lexus CT200h and hope that it helps to raise a significant sum of money for the NSPCC on the night,' Paul Marshall, general manager of marketing and strategy at Lexus, said.
