Lindsay Lohan 'ruining' Liz Taylor biopic Liz and Dick with diva behaviour

The 25-year-old actress is not getting along with True Blood star Grant Bowler, who plays Richard Burton in the Elizabeth Taylor biopic, according to a US newspaper.

Sources say the lack of chemistry between the two leads is so apparent that the footage shot so far has been "just awful."

To make matters worse, Lindsay often shows up two hours late for work and "rarely knows her lines."

One insider explained: "The crew is fed up with Lindsay because they have to spend so much time dealing with her diva antics and, in turn, trying to soothe Grant's battered ego."

Grant was signed up as Lindsay's on-screen lover just a month before filming because Lindsay was delaying casting with her demands for a big-name leading man, such as Gerard Butler, Robert Downey Jr. or Brad Pitt.

Now she is said to be so angry with the choice of Grant that she has been "so mean to him that her comeback is in jeopardy."

A source added: "She was delusional.

"This is a made-for-TV movie. There's no budget for a big star."

Lindsay has been snapped in an array of dazzling 60s period costumes as she takes on the role of Hollywood legend Liz Taylor.

But behind the scenes things have been less glamorous. Lindsay crashed her Porsche earlier this month while on a driving ban and last week had paramedics rush to her hotel room after she was found unconscious.

She looked exhausted yesterday when she was snapped puffing on a ciggie as she took a frosty break with Grant.

But publicist Steve Honig insisted: "Lindsay and the cast and crew have become a tight-knit family and are collaborating on what will be an amazing film."
