Chris Brown’s tendency to find trouble might pay off. WRIC reports on the latest development in the aftermath of Brown’s reported nightclub fight with rival hip-hop artist Drake.

“Now they’re being offered a million dollars each to fight each other in the boxing ring. A celebrity gym wants the singers to fight for three one-minute rounds to raise money for a charity for abused women.”

The boxing promoter behind the offer, Damon Feldman, also wants to amp up the tension and involve a woman with ties to both men. From CNN:

“Despite the fact that Brown is on probation until 2014 for pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards, Feldman said he has asked Rihanna to be in the ring carrying a sign that displays the number of the upcoming round.”

Whoa -- are they onto something?
If the two take their conflict to the ring, rapper and boxing enthusiast 50 Cent says he’ll put his money on Brown to win. In an interview with KMEL, Fiddy previews the possible matchup:

“Chris be havin’ his shirt off. He got one of them MMA fighter looks. Like he might have did karate when he was a kid. He kickin’, doin’ splits and stuff. Like he could put his foot on your head from where he’s standing.”

50 Cent may be looking forward to the fight, but a Bleacher Report columnist disagrees, saying the fight would be somewhat boring.

“At the end of the day though, both of these guys are pretty soft and I bet a fight between them would be pretty lackluster. I don't think Drake would want to get hit at all, and Brown would just go wild for a round and then be exhausted.”

Brown’s representatives told the New York Daily News they hadn’t heard of the offer. A writer from SportsGrid.com says Brown’s people should’ve simply said he wouldn’t participate in the fight:

“I do like that Brown’s camp’s response to this whole thing is ‘never heard of it’ rather than ‘never in a million years,’ suggesting that they are as good at handling Brown’s PR as he is at not being a complete dirtbag… which is to say, not very good.”

The fight wouldn’t be the first celebrity boxing match Feldman has promoted - in 2011 he arranged a boxing match for “Octomom” Nadya Suleman.
