Oscars 2013: Anne Hathaway watches in glee as her Oscar is engraved at Governor's Ball

Anne Hathaway is riding high after winning her first ever Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

And following the end of the long Academy Awards ceremony, the star couldn't wait to get her name engraved on her golden statuette.

The brunette, 30, rushed straight to the engraving bar at the Governor's Ball to have her name etched on the gold plating for all eternity.

Wearing her dusky pink Prada dress, Anne smiled with glee as she waited patiently for an engraver to work his magic.

A few hours earlier, a delighted Anne referred to her Les Miserables song I Dreamed A Dream as she gushed after winning her award: 'It really did come true!'

Also at the engraving bar were Best Original Song winner Adele and George Clooney, who won Best Picture for Argo, which he produced.

Joining Adele at the party was fellow Bond soundtrack diva Dame Shirley Bassey, who had performed Goldfinger.

Adele, Dame Shirley and Barbra Streisand were seen chatting over their food during the lavish meal.

Although both sang their 007 tracks separately during the show, Adele was keen to share her glory with fellow Brit Dame Shirley.

Dame Shirley skipped over to huddle with Barbara before hugging Adele and posing with the Oscar the 24-year-old had won for best song.

The 76-year-old told the Mail's Baz Bamigboye: 'We Bond girls stick together. I'm thrilled for her, thrilled she won. She's such a star with such a gorgeous voice.'

Following their meal, Dame Shirley, Barbra and Adele headed off to the Vanity Fair party together.

After the lengthy three and a half hour Oscar ceremony, the A-listers were ready to party at the Governor's Ball - the Academy Of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences' (AMPAS) official after-party of the Oscars.

Among the A-listers was Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence, who made the event a real family affair with her parents Gary and Karen and brothers Ben and Blaine.

Her Oscar win had obviously made Jennifer quickly forget about her embarrassing trip as she made her way up the stairs to accept her Academy Award a few hours earlier.

Her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper, who missed on Best Actor to Daniel Day-Lewis, arrived with his mother Gloria.

Child star Quvenzhane Wallis may have missed out on Best Actress to Jennifer Lawrence, but she was clearly thrilled to be playing dress up and getting the opportunity to party with the adults.

The cute nine-year-old, who was wearing a blue Armani dress, was spotted dancing during the ball.

As well as the nominees, there were plenty of their A-list contemporaries in attendance.

Best Supporting Actress nominee Amy Adams, who looked stunning in a grey Oscar De La Renta, was spotted chatting to Charlize Theron and Joseph Gordon Levitt.

As usual, the feast was prepared by acclaimed chef Wolfgang Puck and his team of chefs.

Ahead of the event, Wolfgang showed off some of the food on the red carpet.

On the menu included caviar, lobster, truffles, shrimp and edible gold dust.

He also had 5,000 edible Oscars made for the A-listers to nibble on.

As well as the food, the stars were expected to quaff 1,000 bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne.

The 1,500 guests would be attended to by 950 staff members, including 350 culinary staff.

This year, the entertainment was provided by Michael Feinstein, who is known for singing classics from the Great American Songbook.
