Shannon Brennan's model agency denies she is dating TOWIE star James Argent

A spokesperson for 17-year-old model Shannon Brennan has denied she is dating TOWIE star James Argent.

The 25-year-old reality star reportedly told Now magazine that Shannon 'ticks every box' but a representative for the teenager's modelling agency has denied the claims.

A spokesman for Select Model Management told MailOnline: 'This story is completely untrue and upsetting to our clients.'

The portly reality star met the 5ft 9in model last month at the launch of Pretty Little Thing at the Sanctum Soho Hotel last month.

And according to the magazine, James - better known as Arg - and Shannon began dating soon after.

He told Now: 'She's a naturally pretty, down-to-earth, fun girl. And she's well spoken. She ticks every box.'

Arg, who is taking a closer interest in fashion since losing two stone, even recently accompanied his rumoured new girlfriend to the Henry Holland Fashion Show, during London Fashion Week, an experience he described as 'great'.

While a spokesperson for Arg did not respond to a request for a comment. Shannon's model agency called talk of a romance 'damaging to her clients'.

On Monday night Shannon, who has featured in a One Direction video, tweeted Arg after he posted that he couldn't sleep.

The model posted: '@RealJamesArgent you could of rang me!! I can't sleep as well funny enough!' (sic)

But she has yet to personally confirm or deny rumours of a budding relationship.

Arg has had his fair share of failed relationships.

He arrived on TOWIE as the boyfriend of Lydia Bright, but their relationship deteriorated after he was caught out cheating.

Arg also dated his co-star Gemma Collins but their relationship also fizzled out.

James isn't the only one who has moved on, the bubbly blonde has revealed she has moved in with her boyfriend Rami. 

Writing in her Closer magazine column Gemma revealed: 'I feel like I'm in a committed relationship now.'

Recently the reality star, who was previously labelled 'large Arg' has lost some weight in recent months.

Appearing on This Morning he said he has lost 'a couple of stone'.
