MEL B is STILL in talks with UK X Factor bosses about joining the panel.
The news comes despite the Spice Girl landing a role on America's Got Talent.
Show producers are considering starting the audition process in June — a month later than usual — to get her on board.
We revealed last week that Scary Spice had been signed to replace Sharon Osbourne on AGT, effectively ending her X Factor ambitions.
But the singer has kept up talks with producers and Simon Cowell — who are on the hunt for new judges after giving Tulisa the elbow.
They were impressed with her bitchy stand-in stint last year. Mel, a former panellist on The X Factor Australia, caused a stir as a guest judge at the Manchester auditions, tearing into wannabes.
She starts filming auditions for AGT next month.
Mel will be freed up when the show airs in June.
It means she would be able to fly back for UK auditions — and return to the US for AGT's live shows. When they end in September, she would the be available for live X Factor shows from October.
A source said: "She's kept dialogue going with Simon and he hasn't ruled out bringing her over.
"He loved her bitching and thinks that she could help lift the show."
Meanwhile, Louis Walsh's position is also under threat as ITV want rid of him — but Simon is battling for him to stay on the show.
