Delaware Teen USA Resigns Amid Sex Video Scandal

What do Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Miss Teen Delaware USA have in common? Unfortunately...sex tapes. Well, maybe. Melissa King, winner of the Delaware title, has resigned after a pornographic video, allegedly featuring her, surfaced online.
A little background -- King had financial difficulties growing up. Fast forward -- She triumphed at the teen Delaware USA pageant in November. Then, she allegedly shot a porn video in June 2012, just a few months after her 18th birthday. At the time, she was Miss Delaware International. She denies being the woman in the video, and has resigned.
But TMZ says...
“Walks like a duck, talks like a duck ... resigns like a duck.”

The girl in the video says she thought making it would be fun and she needed the money. She also says she is 18 and she and lost her virginity at 15. She says she does pageants, but doesn’t elaborate.
“It’s not a big secret, but I didn’t tell anyone what I was doing.”
Not a big secret. Well, whether the woman in the video is Melissa King or not -- public figures have a much harder time keeping secrets. A writer for CinemaBlend questions what exactly King was thinking -- if this is her.
“If people want to act in pornographic films, that’s their business, but how anyone thinks they can do so without others finding out is unclear, especially when it’s in the porn company’s best interests to play on any kind of fame the person might have.”
But a writer for Opposing Views jokes he doesn’t see a problem with King filming a porno.
“This is a bunch of [bs]. Nowhere in the pageant rules does it say that a contestant can't sit on a ˜bed for an interview...”
And after that, the writer gives some examples of what else could have happened. Some pretty graphic examples. And this is in itself another example -- King isn’t the first beauty queen to get caught up in a sex-tape scandal.
Miss America Vanessa Williams had nude photos in Penthouse and had to give up her 1984 crown, and “Kari Ann Peniche, 2003's Miss United States Teen, lost her crown after losing her clothes for the pages of Playboy.”
As for further word from King -- she’s been re-Tweeting messages of support -- things like, “make mistakes, learn from them and move on.”
Miss Delaware Teen USA runner-up Hailey Lawler will replace King as Miss Teen Delaware USA.
