As award season draws to a close Sunday night with the Oscars. “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn— Part 2” is finally getting some recognition for all its sappy Bella and Edward glory.

But it might not be the acknowledgment Twilight fans were hoping for as the movie took home seven different awards courtesy of the 33rd annual Golden Raspberry Awards.

The Razzies honor—or more appropriately dis-honor—the worst films to come out of Hollywood for the year. It’s mostly for laughs as the actual award only cost about five bucks to make. Every year the winners are announced the night before the Academy Awards.

Breaking Dawn Part Two took home 7 out of the ten of the awards. Which ones?

Well, despite being ranked by Forbes as the highest paid actress, Razzie saw through Kristen Stewart’s  $ 34.5 million and graced her with the title of “Worst Actress.”

Taylor Lautner, snagged the Razzies’ Worst Supporting Actor Award— guess they weren’t buying his romantic relationship with 12-year-old Renesmee.

Which was solidified when Lautner and Mackenzie Foy AKA “Renesmee” won Worst Screen Couple.

The Film also took home

  • Worst Screen Ensemble
  • Worst Director
  • Worst Remake, Rip Off or Sequel
  • And Razzie’s top award Worst Picture

But hey Twilight fans, don’t feel bad. Last year Adam Sandler’s film “Jack and Jill” took home all ten awards. Ouch.

Back to this year— what about the three awards Twilight didn’t… earn?

Well Adam Sandler didn’t completely fall off the Razzie train as he did win Worst Actor for the film “That’s My Boy,” which also snagged worst screenplay.

And the last award of Worst Supporting Actress went to Rihanna for “Battleship.”

So what could Razzie wins mean for the films? Not a whole lot— at least as far as Twilight goes. If you need proof just check out the box office numbers.

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” is ranked number eight for Top Opening Weekends of all time. Raking in more than $ 141 million dollars— and that’s just in one weekend.

And it’s notable that the Razzies aren't actually a tell-tale sign for what to expect at the Oscars. Back in 2010 Sandra Bullock received a Razzie for Worst Actress in the film “All About Steve” only to win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in “The Blind Side” the next day.
